Today our Technician Brandan is leaving Colorado for a fun filled family vacation to Disney World down in Orlando Florida. He’s going to have an entire week off for fun in the sun with the people that matter most! We’re wishing Brandan At Animas Automotive the safest of travels, and we hope he has a blast! Brandan will be back Monday the 27th so come see him and hear about all his fun when he gets back! Have you been to Disney World recently? Have any ideas you wanna shoot Brandan on his trip? Durango’s been Dumped

Well we’ve all been dismayed this entire winter with the lack of cold weather and the unusually low amounts of snow fall. However this Monday morning i think all of our complaints have been accounted for with the heavy “dumping” we recieved last night in snow fall! Hope you all enjoy the fresh powder and are able to drive safely to work. I know i had to get my husband out shoveling snow just to back out of my drive way! But, being from Ga, all this snow is still a novelty to me!

Battle of the Bowls!

Well the battle for the best green chili stew has begun here at Animas Automotive. With Brandan’s excellent and spicy green chili stew starting the races from last week. This week we have an entirely new contender! Our much loved technician Bob is now going head to head with Brandan and it’s definitley giving him a run for his money! Who will win the title of best green chili stew? Is it going to be Brandan’s super spicy spectacular, or Bob’s potato infused explosion?!?!? The results remain to be determined, but the judges table has no complaints! So it’s time to determine the “battle of the bowls” stay tuned!

Durango’s Alpenglow

Every morning on my way into work i am able to see the breath taking alpenglow on the mountains just over Durango and Fort Lewis College. It makes me think about how lucky all of us in Durango are for the simple things such as our rides into work. It’s amazing to me how just a few months ago i went from fighting the hundreds of traffic lights, traffic jams, wrecks, city smog, and clusters of concrete buildings on my commute to work in Atlanta, GA to this! Wow so cool. Just a thought of something to be thankful for in Durango, CO on this beautiful Tuesday morning.

Discovering Organic Grocery Shopping

It came to me that it was time for lunch! What on earth am i gonna eat today??? So, i decided to head over to Natures Oasis Natural Foods Market. I had a delicious organic turkey wrap with organic hummus and spinach. WOW, was it ever delicious! I also discovered almond and brown rice chips which are all natural and baked! However, there are so many things I’ve never discovered and actually diving into my grocery shopping i quickly realized would take much longer than my lunch break. So i decided to come back after work later this week with my Hubby so we could discover it together! So excited about all the new options there are at a natural foods store!

WOW, what a show! Now i know why people go the measures they do to get tickets. What a hoot and a holler! This show is definitely not for the kids! I must say i preferred the first act over the second act, but that’s just opinion. Some of my favorite acts were the men in tights, “single ladies”, and of course you can’t forget our own Michelle Lashbrooke and her dancing routine with the girls! What a night! I even have a few sneak peak pictures i’m willing to share with you! Better start lining up for your tickets next year!!!

Snow Down 2012 has finally begun! Wow, what a hoot was the fashion show do’s and dont’s of Fairy Tale wonderland! I met the Kar”trash”ian sisters, the alice in wonderland crew, Rapunzel, and even the sleeping “booty” girls! haha, what a great time! Can’t wait for the rest of the festivities! I’ll be there at the follies and the parade!! Should all be interesting and fun stories to report on!
